Quartz Sleeves for UV Water Sterilizer Systems

A quartz sleeve protects the UV lamp from water while allowing UV-C energy to pass through the reactor. The right sleeve is defined by its dimensions and sealing structure as well as the lamp it protects. How to Match a Quartz Sleeve

Send photos of both sleeve ends, measurements with a ruler or caliper, the lamp model and a photo of the reactor installation. Small differences in length, diameter or sealing position can prevent a sleeve from fitting correctly, so approximate measurements should not be used for a final order.

Plan the Sleeve, Lamp and Sealing Parts Together

In water treatment equipment, the sleeve should be checked together with the UV germicidal lamp tube, O-rings, caps and reactor layout. If a ballast shows unstable operation, review the ballast at the same time. A complete maintenance package can reduce repeat service visits and separate shipments.

Common Maintenance Reasons for Replacement

Cloudiness, scale, scratches, cracks or recurring sealing problems can affect a sleeve’s suitability. In hard-water applications, regular cleaning and inspection help preserve UV transmission and reduce unexpected maintenance interruptions.
